Cats - Himalayan

Himalayan cats are similar to Persian cats except that they have big, round blue eyes and distinct colouring at the extremities eg tip of tail, & paws, like Siamese cats. Persians and Siamese cats were crossed to produce Himalayans. They are sometimes called "colourpoint Persians." "Himmies," is a term of affection for Himalayans. 

The body is round (cobby) with shortish legs. They are good natured and like human company. 

The nose starts between the eyes.

The basic Himalayan colour is white or cream. The points can be seal, black, blue, lilac, chocolate, red, tabby, or tortoiseshell. Chocolate & lilac are rare colours.

You should spend time each day brushing your Himalayan. Check if the eyes and ears need wiped with damp cotton wool. Himalayan kittens are very playful and love to chase a piece of string, or a ping pong ball.
