Welcome to the wonderful world of Shar Pei!

I have been living with this breed for 10 years now, and have found them to be alert, loyal, playful, entertaining, loving and protective.

They also have an independent streak so respond very well to a firm and consistent owner, but they are affectionate and absolutely loyal to their chosen humans (of all ages).

This is the only dog breed that carries ALL the colour genes so each litter is a colourful surprise.

My puppies are raised in the house and well socialised with all my adult dogs.

Shar Pei are habitually tidy and private dogs, and are naturally fully house-trained by 7 weeks of age.

They can live inside or outside your home, but must have contact with their humans.

I have slowly grown my breeding stock to 2 males and 3 females, all of whom live in the house with me, along with my 'old girl' who has Familial Shar Pei Fever (and so has not been used for breeding), my retired first breeding bitch and a neutered boy who appears to have a hip problem (and so has not been used for stud).

So there are 10 devoted and variously wrinkled friends around me all the time.

I would suggest that you read up as much as you can about the breed, and then call me with your questions.

Please be aware that I will have lots of questions for you as a potential owner - this is because it is really important to me that my puppies go to suitable, appropriate homes and owners .... this is a lifetime placement and commitment .... and not something to be taken lightly just because the puppy is so cute and wrinkley!

I have focused on breeding the Brush coat, Meat-mouthed type of Shar Pei and have bred with dogs and bitches of sound temperament - the breed has sometimes unfortunately been labeled 'aggressive' when they are actually naturally wary and aloof to strangers. 
Your puppy will arrive with a booklet about the breed and their habits, as well as helpful information for possible minor ailments, how to identify possible health problems, and advice on feeding, training and socialising your puppy further as it grows up.

I am available 24/7/365 to my puppy owners and I will happily give you contact details of people who own puppies from my dogs and bitches so that you can check me out regarding the quality of my puppies and the quality of on-going support from the breeder.
