What we did:
Clicker
Training Demonstration
Clickers have been used successfully to train cats, dolphins, dogs etc.
Cat Miaowing Contest (for People) Most folk were too shy to make a fool of themselves, but two women outshone the contestants by bringing a keyboard & miaowing an operatic aria.
Fun Dog Show
Categories:
Waggiest tail (This was the most popular category. Dogs with no tail could wag their body. One of the humans crawled into the ring & wagged her tail. She was disqualified for not being a dog)
Most appealing eyes
Scruffiest
Best trick
Longest hair & shortest hair
Biggest dog & Smallest dog
Golden oldie (over 7 years) The dog didn't have to be the oldest - just had to have judge-appeal.
Child & dog (school child & dog) It was lovely to see the bond kids have with their dogs.
Plant Sale,
Refreshments, Stalls
Catnip, plants, & bric-a-brac were for sale.

| Proceeds went to the SA Bible Society, which prints low-cost Bibles, does translation work, and distributes Bibles to those who want them in prisons, poor areas, etc. Many people cannot afford a Bible. |
