| Why
are the Sunday hours only 3.00 pm to 4 pm?
At Pets Place, the cell phone and its owner take a
day off on Sundays to recharge their batteries. The cell is switched off,
but the line phone is on duty, taking messages which will be answered in
business hours. If there is an emergency, the pet owner will be contacted,
of course! Naturally the pets get fed, exercised and cared for whether
it's a holiday or not, but the comings & goings, and non-essential
work like washing blankets, giving tours, etc, are restricted.
What's so special about Sundays?
God decided that six days in a row was plenty days
for man to work. Every 7th day he is to take a day off. He is to make the
7th day God's Day.
Exodus 20, 8 - 12 says God has blessed the
7th day, but we miss the blessing if we work, or cause others to work on
that day. In the long-term, we cause stress, ill-health, and burn-out for
ourselves & others.
Some might argue that these old laws no longer
apply. But in Romans 3, 31 we read, "We (Christians) uphold the
law." And in Romans 7, 12, "The law is holy."
