What do you need to
know about our Golden Retrievers?
Golden Retrievers are
highly intelligent, easily trainable and the most child-friendly dog you could
wish for. They are extremely popular family pets because of their loyal
and gentle temperament. They possess a friendly, eager-to-please
demeanour, are excellent with children and love to be loved. Their
intelligence and versatility suit the dogs well for a variety of roles including
guide dog for the blind, hearing dog for deaf people, hunting dog, illegal drug
detector, and search and rescue participant. As lively and active dogs
that love to run and play, they need enough open spaces and exercise.
The Golden Retriever is a
medium-sized breed of dog. They were historically developed as gundogs to
retrieve shot waterfowl such as ducks and upland game birds during hunting and
shooting parties. They were bred to have a soft mouth to retrieve game undamaged
and have an instinctive love of water. These dogs are well suited to suburban or
country environments. They need lots of outdoor exercise but should be kept
fenced in because of their instincts as hunting dogs.

Matthew,
11: 28 - 30. "Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden
and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn
of Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. For My yoke is wholesome, and My burden is light and easy to be
borne."
