As a member
of KUSA, I am bound to adhere to the KUSA Code of Ethics. All litters, and
all dogs in each litter of all my Yorkies, will be KUSA registered, medical
examined, inoculated and dewormed when they are handed to to the purchaser and
documentation to this regard will be handed to the new owner together with care
and dietary recommendations and a sales agreement. I strongly believe in in
providing only truthful representation and full disclosure regarding any
health or hereditary concerns when selling or advertising puppies. I
strive to to preserve and maintain the Yorksire Terrier Breed for future
generations through judicious selection of my breeding stock and to provide
future owners with dogs of sound health and stable temperament. I do not
sell dogs on a “with or without papers” basis and put no breeding
restrictions on any of my males or females. Should there be any reason I,
in co-operation with a veterinarian, might seem a dog not suitable for
breeding purposes : -the potential buyer will accordingly be informed before in
advance, and a written statement will be handed to the new owner of when, and
under what conditions, the registration certificate will be provided, e.g. until
the time of spay or neuter as verified by a veterinarian. A written
certificate identifying the exact date of birth, and the registration numbers of
the Sire and Dam will be provided until such verification has been received.
Please note this will only be done for the sole purposes of protecting and
improving the breed for the future and maintaining a standard of excellence for
the Yorkshire Terrier Breed. As I am
very concerned with the type of homes in which my puppies are placed, I
will employ careful screening and refrain from releasing any puppy before it
being at least seven weeks old, or eight weeks old if the puppy is to be
shipped. Shipment to all major airports countrywide can be arranged at the cost
of the buyer. I currently
have twenty breeding females and six stud dogs. All my puppies are home raised
in order to provide the purchaser with a puppy that is used to human
companionship, normal household noises and movements, and therefore well adapted
and socialized. Potential buyers are most welcome to come and meet the parents
in order to help them making informed decisions in choosing an appropriate pet
for the family, or a sire or dam for the future! I am quite prepared so share my
knowledge gained through experience, with owners of Yorkies, particularly those
who are novices! We are situated on a farm next to Leandra in
Mphumahlanga, South Africa, near the East Rand, and close to the Gauteng
border,- just more than one hour’s drive from Pretoria or Johannesburg.
The legal stuff The affix, “Treasures," is registered with KUSA. All puppies will be KUSA registered, with a sales agreement. Documentation to this regard will be handed to the new owner. I do not place breeding restrictions on the dogs.
