WELCOME
TO YOUNGWORLD POMERANIANS
We are situated in
Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, on a small holding close to the Roodeplaat Dam.
Pomeranians have been part of my life since 1969, and I have been breeding for
many years. I breed for conformation and temperament. The Poms are used to human contact from birth and are socialized in my home with other dogs and puppies & large breed dogs. From the moment their eyes open they are in my the home with other dogs and are handled, taught to play, socialize & explore under supervision.
Pomeranians come in various colours such as white, cream, black, orange, black and tan, cream sable, orange sable, wolf sable, etc. We breed most of the colours accepted by The Kennel Union of SA. I occasionally have
puppies - all colours, available. Show quality and pet quality, reasonably
priced. Enquiries welcome. Our Pomeranian puppies are KUSA registered,
inoculated, dewormed & microchipped. Delivery can be arranged & we offer
assistance in traveling arrangements as well as assistance with regard to any
other query. Potential buyers will be
informed about general Pomeranian behaviour, feeding options and the best care
to be given to your Pomeranian pup. INOCULATION & DEWORMING: All
our puppies are inoculated at 4 (four) and 8 (eight) weeks due to the fact that
there is a “window” period in which the pups are very susceptible to Parvo
Virus (Cat Flu) because the Dam’s immunity wears off by 6 weeks and
inoculations only take effect 2 (two) weeks after inoculating. You will be given
a signed vaccination card. Please present this card to your veterinarian when
you take you puppy for his/her final inoculation and check-up. Deworming
is done at 4 (four) and 8 (eight) weeks. Please ask your vet for advice on
future deworming and products to use. I recommend once you receive you puppy
that you have him/her dewormed once a month or six weeks. GROOMING: Puppies
should be groomed from an early age so they learn to welcome the attention. The
Pomeranian does require regular grooming, at least 2 or 3 times a week if not
daily. When
you stroke or pat your Pomeranian stroke the coat from the tail to the head as
this will raise the coat. Teach your baby from a young age to accept and enjoy
being groomed in this way. When
bathing your puppy it is recommended you use a shampoo formulated for dogs. A
tearless puppy shampoo is the best to use. Special shampoos are available for
whites. Trimming
of hair around the anus for cleanliness is recommended. Toe nails should be
kept as short as possible. Please ensure that you watch out for the quick
when cutting the nails - cutting into this would cause your Pom discomfort/pain
- if you are unsure of how to do it ask you vet to assist at your next visit. The feet should be
trimmed of excess hair to resemble a cat’s paw. The hair around the
tip of the ear only, should be trimmed so the small ears which are so
characteristic of the Pom, are revealed. A
feeding guide will be supplied. Water MUST be available at all times. The
