Italian greyhounds are like miniature greyhounds, but they are now a separate breed from the greyhound. They are thought to have been brought to Italy from Egypt by Roman soldiers at the time of Christ. The Italians loved them, and they became popular as pets in Rome and throughout Italy.

About Italian Greyhounds (IG's)
Like the greyhound, the Italian greyhound is a lean, graceful dog. He has a long pointed face and small ears. He has a merry, high step.
Italian greyhounds are content in a small yard if they are taken out for runs. They make good-natured pets. Their coat is short and thin, so they like to be indoors in cold weather.
Colour: any colour, usually with white markings.
Weight: 2.7 - 4.5 kgs
"The race is not won by the swift, nor the battle by the strong, but time and chance happen to them all," said King Solomon of Israel, so let's acknowledge our dependency on God. Ecclesiastes 9, 11
