Come help start a new, small kibbutz on a small farm in the Eastern Cape of sunny South Africa! There's no pay! The deal is you get free board and lodging, with food, in exchange for work. Accommodation consists of a simple dormitory.
The venue is at Salem, on the Grahamstown road, 20 minutes drive from beautiful Kenton-on-sea where the sand-dunes are as high as a house and great fun to roll down! The beaches are long, glorious and unspoiled. The sea is magnificent.
Own transport is an advantage as there is no public transport to Salem.
The kibbutz is on 25 acres of bush which has a dog boarding kennel. If you're scared of dogs, or allergic to cats, you can help maintain the grounds. The work is strenuous - weeding, digging, clearing away thorn bushes, painting, for example. Everyone must be prepared to take a turn of the menial tasks like picking up dog poo, washing dishes, and cleaning toilets. You'll either loose weight or develop a figure like a body-builder!
One thing is for sure, you'll have lots of fun and see breathtaking scenery! Maybe even find more purpose to life!
