Cats – Ragamuffin

Unusually large, unusually friendly and unusually faithful for a feline creature, these rather fluffy cats are ideal pets.

If you are a cat lover searching for companionship and devotion similar to (but far better than) that of a dog, this is the breed for you.  RagaMuffins thrive on attention and will often greet you at the door as you arrive home and then follow you around from room to room.  They have loving natures and `adopt’ people and other animals as their own quite readily.

Living up to their rather amusing name, RagaMuffins come in all coat colors and patterns.  These are striking cats whether the color is blue, brown tabby with white, tortoiseshell or mink.

RagaMuffins are classically large creatures.  Females average between ten and fifteen pounds.  Males often weigh between fifteen and twenty pounds.   They are heavily boned, with a tendency toward a fatty pad on the lower abdomen.

RagaMuffins fully mature at about four years of age and have a long life expectancy.  As a general rule, Raga- Muffins are strong and healthy with no known genetic health problems within the breed.

Raga Muffins are wonderful with children. Their calm and patient temperament lends itself to the boisterous, robust play of youngsters and they can easily be found attending tea parties or taking rides in baby strollers.  Their easy-going personality makes them adaptive to almost any environment or situation, as long as they have their humans' attention and interest.

Although RagaMuffins are calm by nature and will likely to be found curled in your lap as you read a book or watch television, they are not lazy cats.  They search for objects to play with and enjoy sneaking up and jumping out and another unsuspecting person or animal.

Although thick and plush, their coats do not require high maintenance.  It does not readily mat or clump and is easy to care for – plus, these creatures will grow in their affection and devotion for the extra attention.

Ragamuffin cats are not scratchy & jealous with other cats. They are good natured. Cats who are jealous can have fierce fights and become balls of fiery fury! Jealousy is an all-consuming emotion.

We never think of God as being jealous yet the Bible says, "God is jealous and will take furious revenge on those who oppose him." Nahum chapter 1 verse 2
