WELCOME
TO YUNEST POMERANIANS
Member of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa. Pomeranians
are Toy dogs, whose main function is a companion or a watchdog. It is
suited perfectly well for an apartment and is generally good with other small
breeds, and cats. Pomeranians return all affection lavishly and they are
playful even to a very old age. They love to cuddle close and be petted
and talked to. Pomeranians are fluffy dogs that come in a wide selection of colours. Orange and reds are the most seen in the show rings. They also come in colours such as cream, black, wolf sable, white, cream sable, silver cream sable, orange sable, and black and tan. But under these beautiful colors must be a healthy sound Pomeranian in body and mind. Our
dogs live in our home as part of our family.
Being a breeder means being conscientious enough to keep my quality improving
while keeping my numbers small enough that all can get the love they
deserve. All puppies are vet checked and receive their first shots from
our vet. All puppies must stay with us until 8 weeks of age. Around
4 to 6 months old the Pomeranian will start shedding his puppy coat. He
is going through his “uglies” as we breeders put it. Now he must be
brushed out so that the old coat does not mat. Generally, the Pomeranian’s
coat is dense and tends to mat. That is why regular grooming is a
must. Small
children should be encouraged to sit on the floor while learning to hold a toy
breed securely and should not carry toy breeds. Toy breeds do not
belong in families who have small children unless the children have been
carefully parentally trained to respect a toy breed’s size. Males make the best pets! They are more willing to please, devoted, and they are usually very tolerant and train very fast. A male keeps a more beautiful coat at all times. Males cost less to neuter; generally a male's initial price is less than a female. Males should be neutered at 6 - 8 months to make the best pets (they need to be neutered BEFORE they know they are a male – neutering at this young age prevent the obsessive leg-lifting and territorial markings they are prone to develop).
