Pg discontinued  more about Bernese mountain dogs

Our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are registered with KUSA on naming preference. Our kennel Durrbachler has opted to seek advisement from the Swiss Club for Bernese Mountain dogs enabling guidance and access to a

comprehensive database of blood lines of the Breed. Our female is Beauty Buhle vom Letzacher (Bongi), born from

a litter of 4 males and 4 females in June 2010. She gave birth to 4 male and 4 female puppies on the 5 July 2013.

Our male is Kernaghan vom Wisgraben (Kern) born 6 September 2009 in a litter of 4 males and 4 females. All original papers and qualified assessments are available for review.

Our 8 puppies have received their 4 week Parvo inoculation and will be receiving their 6 week inoculations.

Milbamax will be the preferred 6 month dewormer as with their parents. A supplement dewormer is

recommended annually. We will be conducting aptitude tests on all pups to assist in profiling puppies for their new homes.

Our Kennel name, "Durrbachler," is another name used in German for Bernese Mountain Dog.

We are based in Johannesburg South Africa

We are asking for between R3000 - R6000 depending on markings.

We are prepared to orientate and accustom the pup in preparation of travel. Travel / crate costs are for the purchasers account.

Kern and Bongi are our family dogs, imported from Switzerland. They are the second breeding pair since we started

importing in 2001. They have both received the KUSA Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) accreditation, Bongi has

Bronze and Kern has Silver. Our source breeders in Switzerland have approved the mating by referencing the Swiss

specifications and requirements. We are members of the Swiss Club for Bernese Mountain Dogs. We do not compete in the SA breed ring, we do however attend exhibitions to educate the public about the breed. Where possible we encourage our dogs to work, i.e. carry back packs on hikes etc, as this is what they were bred for. Kern's breeder is a community subsistence farmer with their Berner Sennenhund Kennels. http://www.wisgraben.ch/.

Bongi was born in nearby Kirchberg at a breeder http://www.letzacher.ch/, on the ski slopes of the Swiss countryside
