About Staffordshire bull terriers
The dogs are often called Staffies or Staffords, for short. They originated from
a cross between a Bulldog and a terrier. Staffies can be aggressive towards
other dogs, although affectionate towards humans.
Staffordshire Bull Terriers are medium sized and pack a lot of power in their
muscular bodies. They have strong jaws and prominent cheek muscles. They enjoy a
dog-fight if provoked. A Staffordshire bull terrier puppy should be given
training from an early age. Puppies love fluffy soft toys and a Staffy puppy
will grab a toy by the neck and shake it until "dead!" Puppies also like playing
tug-of-war with a rope, which develops their strong jaw muscles. They clamp on
and don't let go! The adult dogs' faces are very muscular with no loose skin.
Height 35 - 40 cms at shoulder.
Class: Terrier.
Staffies are fighters! They'll take on a bull or a huge dog fearlessly. You and
I need not be so aggressive! God is fighting for us!
The Bible says, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Exodus chapter 14 verse 14
Americans have developed a similar breed, the American Staffordshire Terrier, or
Amstaff, as it is called.

These puppies have a good appetite!
